About the F8 Tributo
The F8 Tributo is named for what it commemorates: the F154 V8, four times International Engine of the Year, in its final and most powerful application in a series-production mid-engined Ferrari. It produces 720 PS at 8,000 rpm and 770 Nm — fifty more horsepower than the 488 GTB it replaced, and the same figure as the limited-run 488 Pista.
Aerodynamically it is a substantial revision rather than a facelift. The S-Duct returns from the 458 Speciale, routing air from beneath the nose out over the bonnet for a claimed ten per cent increase in downforce, and the blown rear spoiler and revised underbody bring the total gain to fifteen per cent over the 488.
The cabin is tighter and more driver-focused than the 488's, with a smaller steering wheel and a redesigned human-machine interface. Ferrari Dynamic Enhancer, first seen on the Pista, modulates brake pressure at the calipers to make oversteer both predictable and recoverable.
