About the DB11
The DB11 is the car that reset Aston Martin's modern era: an all-new bonded aluminium platform, a new electrical architecture, and a body whose Curlicue and AeroBlade aerodynamics generate rear downforce without a visible wing. Aston wanted the shape uninterrupted, so the air is routed through the C-pillar and exits as a virtual spoiler across the bootlid.
In V8 form it uses Mercedes-AMG's 4.0-litre twin-turbo engine, retuned with Aston's own intake, exhaust and calibration, producing 510 PS. It is roughly 115 kg lighter over the front axle than the V12, which makes it the more agile of the two and, for most drivers, the better car.
The DB11's real strength is as a distance car. The ride in GT mode is genuinely supple, the cabin is quiet at highway speed, the boot takes proper luggage, and there is a usable pair of rear seats for short trips. It is the car for a Kuala Lumpur to Penang run rather than a lap of Sepang.
Turbo delivers the DB11 across Greater Kuala Lumpur. Well suited to weddings, long-distance touring and executive use.
