About the 530i
The G30 generation of the 5 Series was widely regarded as the best-resolved executive saloon of its era: it drove with more precision than a Mercedes E-Class, rode better than an Audi A6, and had a cabin that aged well.
The 530i uses a 2.0-litre turbocharged four producing 252 PS and 350 Nm, reaching 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. It is smooth, quiet and strong in the mid-range, which is what a car of this type needs.
M Sport specification is near-universal on Malaysian cars, bringing adaptive suspension, a body kit, larger wheels and sports seats. Integral Active Steering — rear-wheel steering — was available and noticeably improves low-speed manoeuvring.
