About the Urus
The Urus is the reason Lamborghini's production volume roughly tripled. It takes the Volkswagen Group's largest SUV platform, fits a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing 650 PS, and wraps it in bodywork that is recognisably from the same design language as the Aventador. The result reaches 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds while seating four adults with room for their bags.
The engineering that makes it work is the chassis. Adaptive air suspension gives 158 mm of travel between its lowest and highest settings, active anti-roll bars resist body roll under cornering load, and rear-wheel steering shortens the car at parking speeds. Six drive modes — including Neve for snow, Terra for gravel and Sabbia for sand, none of which see much use in Malaysia — sit alongside Strada, Sport and Corsa.
