About the Alphard
There is a reason the Alphard is the standard executive people-mover across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia: nothing else combines this much rear space with this level of isolation at this price. The second-row captain's chairs recline almost flat, have powered ottomans, and sit far enough apart that two passengers can work without disturbing each other.
The 2.5 SC uses a 2.5-litre four-cylinder with a CVT — deliberately unhurried, and the right choice for the car. Alphards are not driven quickly; they are driven smoothly, and the drivetrain is calibrated for exactly that.
