About the C 300
The C 300 is where the current C-Class stops feeling like an entry model. The 2.0-litre turbocharged four produces 258 PS and 400 Nm with 48-volt EQ Boost assistance, reaching 100 km/h in six seconds — quick enough that the AMG models become a matter of character rather than necessity.
The cabin is the draw. The vertically oriented central display, the fully digital instrument panel, the optional Burmester 3D audio and the 64-colour ambient lighting were all inherited more or less directly from the S-Class, and the material quality is a clear step above the previous generation.
Rear-axle steering is available and worth having in Kuala Lumpur, reducing the turning circle noticeably.
